Hack Prevention As with any online game, there is a chance someone will gain access to your account information such as a password. Here are some tips to prevent being "hacked."
Never give your e-mail or password out to ANYONE. Not even your brother or sister. You won't get 100 billion credits if you tell someone your pass and email, so don't believe them. The game Staff are not responsible and do not have to assist you if you get "hacked."
"Hack Sites" and alternative login sites do nothing but steal your password. If someone promisses you millions of credits by signing up, don't fall for it.
The game Staff will NEVER ask you for your password, NEVER EVER. They don't need it. If someone claiming to be an Admin asks for it, don't trust him/her. Even if it is by an email that looks like Webby's. "There is a problem with the servers/your alien and we need your pass," this will never happen. Why? Because Staff will NEVER ask you for your password.
If something is too good to be true, then it probably is. Promises of riches are complete lies, guarenteed.
Don't download anything that isn't from a site you can't trust. You do so at your own risk and the Staff may or may not help you.
Get a program to detect trojans, get an anti-virus, and anything else like that. They may come in handy.
Make sure your pass isn't easy to guess. You should also change it often. If you think you may forget it, write it down somewhere in your house. You could always have it emailed to you, but so can "hackers." If you want to turn that option off, go to My Account then check the appropriate box.
Never give out you login email.
Never copy and paste links from the game. Every link in the game contains your email and your password.
There are dishonorable people all over the internet. These people might try to trick you on a messanger service like AIM, or simply through a quickpost. It is best to ignore them. If you do receive these types of quickposts, it is best to report them immediately on the Customer Service Board. [back] |
