Space

What would an alien game be without space travel?!
To embark on your space career you can buy a spaceship at the Space Port for a price of 50,000 credits. Once you have done that, you can lift off at the Landing Pad. However, to navigate in space you must study Spacefaring at Campus Prime. The learning ratio is 2:1 - for every two classes you study you can make one move in space.

When in space you will notice two little text boxes. This is where you can set your coordinates. Think of it as a normal (X,Y) coordinate plane, but without the negatives. Type a number in the first box and a number in the second box then click Execute. Your ship will then head toward that location. Each time you hit Execute you use up one Spacefaring move. You will be transported to that coordinate instantaneously - no matter how far the distance. Remember, the way home is always at (0,0). Once you get to (0,0), you simply click land and you are home.

There are several commands that you can use in space. Under the Advanced Commands menu, you will see a text box that enables you to autodestruct if you type “confirm.” Doing so will destroy your ship and all of the equipment on it, but it takes you out of space immediately. Only use this option if you are completely stuck and space and NEED to land.

Another thing to check out is the Ship Details menu. This will tell you how much speed, defense, assault, attack range, scan range, and hull strength your ship has. You can raise these statistics by outfitting your ship with the various weapons or other equipment. All space related items can be purchased in the Marketplace or created at Maxxon Areospace. Your ship can only hold up to 10 in weight, so choose wisely.

You can attack another player’s ship by clicking Engage next to the ships name. Each time you push Engage you attack their ship once and you will inflict as much damage as you can each time. However, since they can move away immediately you should click it as many times and as fast as you can! It is the same deal with asteroids. Clicking mine will only perform the action once, you have to keep clicking it until the asteroid is empty.
Aside from enjoying space and blowing up other ships do not forget the most important aspect of space. If you equip your ship with a Space Mining Probe you can travel from (0,0) to (1,1) to (2,2)...all the way to (100,100) and back. Along the way you will randomly find asteroids and you can mine them for marks. If you make it safely back to Sol Prime you can offload the marks and sell them in the Currency Exchange for a nice profit.
